Esports in Arkansas

In 2018, I led a mission to have Esports adopted by the Arkansas Activities Association. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how far we’ve come: now, over half of Arkansas schools have embraced Esports, creating exciting new avenues for students.

The Godfather of Esports

In 2023, I was honored to be named the Godfather of esports in 501LIFE Magazine for my dedication to the educational system and development of esports in more than 50% of schools in Arkansas.

Passing the same year, 2023, I led the nation's first piece of esports legislation to protect student and tournament esports winnings. The legislation, HB1394, was eventually signed into law as Act 439.

In 2021, I signed the first opportunity for collegiate esports athletes to go pro through a deal with Team Singularity. Team Singularity is a global esports organization and only of its kind with more than 10,000 members.

In my career, I've had the opportunity to work with esports programs in various capacities, ranging from teaching and coaching to directorial roles. My journey as the Director of Esports at Hendrix College (2019 - 2024), I conceptualized and executed all visual branding elements for the program while forging strategic partnerships with leading brands such as Adidas, Logitech, TruService, and MSI. This allowed us to secure significant sponsorships and resources, ensuring the team's success.

Under my leadership, our esports teams achieved nine NCAA Metals, securing all titles within the Southern College Athletic Conference (SCAC). I also pioneered exceptional recruitment strategies that consistently attracted top talent to our program. In addition to my work at Hendrix, I served as both the AP Teacher and Director of Esports at Lake Hamilton High School (2018-2019), where I fostered a culture of excellence, collaboration, and sportsmanship among over 160 student-athletes.

I leveraged digital content design for targeted marketing initiatives and resource acquisition during my time at Lake Hamilton, which led to the school winning two HSEL National Titles. My passion for esports extended to West Memphis High School (2017-2018), where I secured technology integration grants, developed innovative curricula, and pioneered the integration of esports into the educational landscape of Arkansas. Through these efforts, esports became a recognized extracurricular activity within the school system during my tenure.

Throughout my career, I've been a skilled coach and mentor, having led and mentored thousands of student-athletes at various institutions through hosting the AAA State Championships for five years and board positions. I cultivate a dynamic social media presence, ensure effective goal alignment, performance tracking, challenge addressing, and continuous improvement for all esports programs I oversee. With my deep understanding of esports and its integration within educational environments, combined with my multifaceted skill set in design, digital marketing, and coaching, I am confident in my ability to contribute positively to the growth and success of any esports initiative at every level.

Professor of Esports

In December of 2022 (to 2025) I worked as an adjunct professor at Arkansas Baptist College (HSBC) building classes and student programs.

  • Intro to Business
  • Esports and Technology
  • Intro to Esports

Additionally I also worked with local schools and the Arkansas Juvenile Corrections System to build rewarding opportunities for our youth in Arkansas during this time.

"What students have to say"

I was the captain of the Rocket League team at Hendrix under Logan's coaching from 2020-2023. He pushed his players to be their very best while maintaining a genuine connection with all players. When started the Esports program at Hendrix, students felt they had a place not only comfortable to be themselves, but to be the best version of themselves. He pushed his players to be the best students, esports players, and people they could be.

He brings a level of passion that derives inspiration from those around him. Logan inspired me to chase my dreams through the games I loved to play, and I am still chasing them at full speed a year and a half after graduating. When he sets his mind to something, he will achieve it and he taught his players to do the same.
